New Pentecost United Methodist Church

Youth Sunday

Call to worship: Psalms 42, 78, 104

One: God, you split rocks in the wilderness, and gave your people abundant drink, as from the deep.

All: Come to us, Lord. Give us that abundant water.

One: You made streams come out of the rock, and caused waters to flow down like rivers.

All: Come to us, Lord. Send the waters down upon us.

One: You turned the desert into pools of water, the parched land into springs of water.

All: Come to us, Lord. Create springs in the parched deserts of our hearts.

One: As a deer longing for flowing streams, so my soul longs for you O God.

All: My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. Come to us O Lord and fill our longing.

Our church is blessed to have this group and their leader. They have grown and matured so much and it was a pleasure and an honor to watch them this morning!

Great youth service yesterday! I am so proud of all of them. We need to have them do this more often. Thank you Amanda and Tyler for being great role models for our impressionable minds!!

The youth were amazing yesterday. Good music although I didn’t know a single song. The message in “sermon” and song was great. Also, must say I adore Clay Jacobs. He’s a sweetheart. Bonnie

I thoroughly enjoyed seeing what your youth group did last Sunday. I would have loved to be there to see this in person….and, see my granddaughters, Olivia & Elizabeth Harris!! However, I am thankful for those responsible for recording and sharing these videos. Next best thing to being there!!! Tyler and Amanda are to be commended for being leaders that inspire and encourage these young people to conduct a complete worship service. This spiritual background will prepare them for whatever their futures hold!! I think it is all about their foundation in Christ, and that begins when they are children/youth!!! I’m very thankful that my granddaughters are a part of this youth group and church!!!

In reference to my last comment, I didn’t mean you were sorely missed because things were going poorly here. Just that we miss both of your smiling faces. Things here are very good. You left things in capable hands.
