New Pentecost United Methodist Church

Pastor’s Welcome

johnlindaWelcome to New Pentecost, a congregation of the United Methodist Church. We look forward to meeting you and sharing a time of worship, fellowship, and study in the Wesleyan tradition. Our congregation is young and old, rich and poor, saints and sinners all searching for meaning in our lives. In the example of Jesus, we strive to serve our neighbors and to love one another as we desire to be loved. We welcome all to join us in the wonderful celebration of God’s saving grace through Jesus Christ.

Our worship is blended with a note of informality coupled with timeless traditions of Christian worship. Our goal is to glorify God as we worship together, to serve others in need, and to share the wonderful story of God’s unfailing grace through the way we live our lives. Worship begins at 11 a.m. each Sunday morning and lasts about an hour. Children are welcomed in our worship services, and we provide loving care for infants through age 3.

We believe that the Bible offers a revelation of God’s love and desire for his people particularly through the New Testament scriptures which reveal the truth of God’s love for everyone through his son, Jesus. Opportunities for children, youth and adults to study and explore this awesome story is available at 10 a.m. each Sunday.

Finally, we believe in the power of prayer. Members of our church meet each Monday evening to pray for the needs of others. Whether it is illness, depression, addiction, or other of life difficulties, we have seen the results of a powerful prayer ministry. We celebrate God’s continued love through answered prayer. You may request prayer in our worship service or by placing a request in the prayer box at the entrance to the church parking lot.

Thank you for considering New Pentecost. We would love to greet you and have you attend one of our services. We don’t call people out or ask them to sing a solo —– we just greet you at the door and welcome you to find a place where you are comfortable.
