HOSPITALITY IS APPRECIATED IN ANY LANGUAGE

We are in the middle of wine country in the province of La Rioja.  It seems that we have been walking for four days through the middle of vineyards laden with grapes and just starting the harvest.  I had the great delight of making eye contact with an older woman who was harvesting grapes today.  She let me take her picture then waved me over to her as she snipped a bunch of grapes off the vine and handed them to me with a toothless smile.  SHE MADE MY DAY!  This was real hospitality communicated without a common language.
We have arrived today in the town of Najera where the hero Roland defeated the Turkish giant Ferregut.  This is an ancient story similar to that of Sampson & Goliath.  We are going to a local monastery to see a statue of the Virgin Mary which was discovered in the year 1044.
Tomorrow will be a badly needed day of rest.  We will pray that your worship goes well and that your week will be blessed.
REMEMBER THAT HOSPITALITY IS APPRECIATED IN ANY LANGUAGE.
120 miles down & 370 to go.  Keep praying!
